A butterfly in the Sri Lanka dry zone rests in the heat of mid day on some barbed wire. Development in Sri Lanka is quite slow but the encroachment onto the wildlike and the environment has a great impact.
At the gathering, the stressed elephants are surrounded by people and drivers who push their vehicles closer to get the best shots. It was sad to see more people there than elephants.
The monkeys are fed by people. They then think that this is the norm and expect to be fed. This monkey stole the drink and ripped the lid from the bottle.
